My practice is rooted in a love of nature and attentive presence. I create layered paintings that reflect an ongoing conversation with the landscape. My painting incorporates foraged materials from nature and brushes made by hand, bringing the outdoors directly into my work alongside acrylic ink and oil. My background includes studying visual arts at the Art Institute in Sunnyvale, California.

I create impressionist landscapes inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the quiet ways light moves through it. My work explores the meeting place between stillness and movement, darkness and light, inviting the viewer to slow down, look closely, and find a sense of peace. Rooted in faith, my paintings
reflect a desire to create work that points beyond itself.
I gloriously spread paint across a blank canvas communicating my awe with these amazing materials.
How to turn feeling into a vision on a flat surface? The only way I know to do it, is to be excited!
Everyday I return and play in color and light. I see the light coming through foliage, or the mountain vistas, and I am called to create.
I approach a canvas without a subject in mind. The act of applying color and shape to the canvas moves me to the next mark. I recognize and then begin to see the unfolding. It’s a mysterious process that I hope will encourage the viewer to see more deeply. It will change the way they observe with enlightened eyes.
